Our thesis

Legal AI you can put in front of a judge.

The industry's biggest fear is a confident, fabricated citation. We built Lagelia so every answer carries a checkable source, the one thing that makes AI safe for real legal work.

Why we exist

“Lagelia” is “AI Legal,” reversed, because we approached the problem from the other direction. Most legal AI starts with a powerful model and looks for places to apply it. We started with the one thing that makes AI unusable in a practice (a citation you can't trust) and built the whole product around eliminating it.

The result is a workspace where research, drafting, chronology, ediscovery, and appellate briefs all share one source of truth (your evidence), and every output is traced back to it. It's the AI paralegal a solo or small firm can finally afford: one that does the drudgery, shows its work, and never lets an unverified citation through.

What we hold to

Cite, don't assert

The default output of legal AI should be a checkable source, not a confident sentence. If we can't ground a claim, we say so.

Built for the underserved

The giants are built for AmLaw 100 firms and enterprise budgets. We build for the solo, small, and mid-sized practices they price out.

Honest by construction

No manufactured logo walls, no invented metrics, no certifications we haven't earned. We'd rather under-claim and be trusted.

Building the future of the small-firm back office.

We're onboarding a founding group of design-partner firms now. If that's you, let's talk.
